arrow Energy Efficient Controls

With the rising cost of fuel and the damage to our environment caused by harmful co2 emissions it is more important than ever to reduce fuel usage.

On way we can conserve energy and save fuel is to fit energy saving controls to our heating systems.

The control system can be fitted to existing systems as well as new heating installations.

One system is to fit a room thermostat controlling a motorised valve, when the thermostat senses the room has reached the required level it closes the motorised valve which in turn turns the boiler off. This process is known as boiler interlock and prevents the boiler dry cycling and wasting energy

The same procedure can be applied to the hot water circuit, if one circuit is still calling for heat the boiler will stay on to facilitate this, while at the same time the circuit that is satisfied will be turned of at the motorised valve saving fuel and energy.

Both of these circuits can be controlled by a dual channel programmer ( time clock) set to come on and off independently of each other at different times each day.

Normally a five two day two channel programmer is sufficient for most people’s daily needs.
